The Burlington School District is an average school district with its pros and cons but it is in a wonderful city! I think the school district uses the close-knit community to its advantage and to some degree, teaches its students about life out in the real world. However this school district experiences problems with the administration and the amount of work it loads on students just like most american school districts.
Many of the teachers are some of the most dedicated people I have ever met. They truly care about how well their students do. The cafeteria food is amazing as well - much better than any other place I have ever been. (Their apples are especially good). This school also has a Year End Studies program, where the last two years of the school year can be dedicated to learning whatever a student wants to learn in a pass-fail, relatively stress-free environment.
However, many changes have occurred in the past few years resulting in many teaching positions getting "cut" and a shortage of money for resources, as well as a decrease in the number of available classes. The upcoming schedule for next year looks a little funky as well.

I love the friendly environment between the colleges in the area and the community. There's a well balanced blend of college students and the community where both respect the other.
