At Burlington Edison high school I wouldn't say looking at the school it is a "very good school" If you probably asked 10 people at the school if they would say it is a "very good" school most probably would say no it's not. Honestly I could agree with that. It's not a very good school. It's average, boring, not the most up to date school but we are lucky and fortunate for what we have! With all the teachers and workers who have helped make the school what it is, the schools fantastic . Like look we are a 2A school with an amazing volleyball coach, who brings the girls to state like every year, A great author that has sold his work to Disney, an amazing principle who even though just got here for the school year of 2020 has made so many connections with all the students. And to others we also just have have average teachers but they are way more than that, with honesty some of the best students all around. With not the best conditions you still have look for the best in what you got!

I've attended Burlington-Edison School District for nine years. This school district does an amazing job when it comes to needing extra help in school. Most of the staff try their hardest to keep students interested in the topic being learned. I also love the student body and how knowledge is valued over social status. One thing that worries me about the future of this school, is that they have not hired a full time African American teacher. With all the protests about racism going on, students have become more aware of this reality. Now I have not done much research but I know that Skagit Valley (the valley surrounding Burlington) is a very diverse place. Are there just no teachers that fit this profile to be found? Or does Burlington have secret racism. Either way this situation needs to be brought to light, so that future generations in Burlington can live in a less hate filled community.
Burlington-Edison School district is a very unique school district. As you may notice Burlington does not have a middle school, like most other school districts . Burlington is located in Skagit Valley just about 60 miles north of Seattle. Burlington is a smaller school district but is renown for being one of the best. The smaller school setting results in a smaller teacher to student ratio, which results in overall better education for the students. At Burlington High School you will most likely know everyone. Burlington is very diverse and there really is a place for everyone. Our high school has always been known for it's sports teams to be very competitive and successful. There are great coaches, staff, and resources in Burlington for anyone. We don't have many Ap/honors classes offered here but there is a decent amount still. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.
