Burke County Schools Reviews
Burke county high school was overall one of my favorite school experiences, as well as the best four years that I spent in school. The teachers and community at BCHS are welcoming and do their very best to help you learn and be comfortable. The best thing about BCHS is that the extracurricular activities are numerous; they range from sports, such as football and tennis all the way to organizations such as Future Farmers Of America. Involvement is highly encouraged at BCHS, however the studies and homework always come first. The teachers are always there if you need extra help through tutoring or even just before class if you have a question. Burke county High school was my favorite school that I ever went to and being in college now, I wouldn’t go back, but I wouldn’t want to change what high school I went to.
Overall, the school is a good school; but I feel as though way too much attention is focused on sports instead of academics and fine arts. Most teachers do not do a good job preparing us for anything. For instance, getting a 1300 on the SAT is praised at our school, even though that score isn’t amazing.
I love Burke County schools, the teachers are always there for the students in whatever way we needed them. From studying, to recommendation letters, to assisting us applying for colleges. Burke County will always have a special place in my heart, especially the teachers who helped me.
