Bureau Valley provided me with a lot of opportunities. The staff care about your success, and I felt at home there. However, it is a very small school, and after I graduated, I found that BV lulled me into a false confidence. They are very eager to see you succeed, but I did not feel prepared once I got to college. Overall, it was a good experience, but it is lacking in size, diversity, and college preparation.

Bureau Valley is a very unique school, although this can go good or bad. If you truly understand the requirements of getting into a good college or university, the staff will work to get you on the right track to make you successful. Higher level classes are taught by teachers who prepare their kids for college, not taking days off and pushing them to strive for better than the students think their best is. All in all, the staff does care for the best of the students, and if students show willingness to work hard, the teachers will almost always make time to help those students whenever they may have time. Having the school in the middle of a corn field and outside of town decreases distraction and pretty much handles any outside safety concerns on its own.
Great school with amazing teachers who really care about their students success. There isn't much diversity and we don't always have the best resources but that doesn't stop the teachers and staff from giving us the best that they can.
