I like the hospitality of my school in Buncombe County. The teachers care about their students' success and my classmates do too.
Buncombe County schools has done an amazing job shifting to the virtual format during the pandemic. Kudos.
I had a great experience at all of the enka district schools in buncombe county that I attended. The teachers and staff are wonderful! The one thing that I would love to see a change is the food. The school food was not always the best and there were times I wouldn't eat because it looked gross.
There needs to be more accountability of teachers to teach accurate history to their students and to amplify POC voices and works every day in their classroom.
Buncombe county schools are very informative. My process with the college school systems have been smooth. The colleges helped me step by step, and made sure I was well aware of what was going on.
Being a student of Buncombe County over the last twelve years has helped for who I am today. Through sports, clubs, and academics I have almost always felt supported as a student. I have always been able to be myself and look up to the staff at my school.
I've lived in Buncombe County for most of my life, and the schools have never disappointed me. Due to moving, I've attended 4 schools in this district, and enjoyed aspects of every one of them. I am a high school senior now at the Franklin School of innovation, which has truly been my favorite school to attend. I'll be proud to graduate from here.
My whole education K-12 took place in Buncombe County Schools and it has been a great experience. I have learned so much even outside of the classroom. The teachers are very responsive to the students and extracurriculars help students grow.
I really have enjoyed my experience and Buncombe County Schools. I have been to two high schools in Buncombe County and both have an amazing program and dedication to their students. I would like to see in improvement in how they accept students into their Early College program. They should choose students with rigorous academic goals and high grades over C and D students who will only waste valuable seats in their program.
Buncombe county school go above and beyond your expectations and the faculty are outstanding. I will always want to be a part of the Buncombe country community.
There is a lot of diversity in the school system. There are kids from all different backgrounds. Kids are at school to receive an education and have fun while learning. Every school has problems but a lot of schools have a great administration faculty that gives the correct discipline. There needs to be more of community involvement with students willing to help other students.
Its gotten decreasingly worse. The new rules in place make the experience horrible for the student. The teachers aren’t that good and there is no diversity. It’s not the worst school but it’s not the best.
Overall Buncombe county schools is a great school district. I feel as if there should be more money put into the schools that are already there than building other schools and buying vehicles.
Great school system, would like to see some of the older schools remodeled and also like the circullum updated to the city school standards. I also believe that our county and city both should be magnet schools and not be just by district choice. I think as a parent my child should be able to attend the county school of choice as long as we reside in the same county. Our city schools offer this program so I would like to see it stretch to our county as well.
We have had our daughters in both private school and public. We feel like any school can be good or bad depending on the leadership. Our transition in to A. C. Reynolds High School from a private school, was excellent. Doris Sellers, the principal, is an outstanding leader and her involvement with the parents and students is what makes this a very good school.
I have been in this school system for all grades. I feel like I have recieved a great education. My teachers have all been very experienced and simply good tough teachers. I play baseball and our school has an awesome team. We won the state championship my sophomore year. Our athletics has also won the Wachovia Cup for several years in a row.
I go to UNC Asheville. It is smaller than most Universities but is always growing! The teachers are wonderful and classes, on average, consists of 25-35 students; this way, there is more one on one help provided if needed. The campus is easy to walk with most of the buildings close by each other. I am looking forward to another 2 years at this college!
