I think the mission of Buffalo High School is very powerful and successful. The teachers and administration work very hard everyday to keep everyone safe and make sure everyone is doing well. If a principal or teacher sees you in the hallways, they will ask you "how are you?" and they make everyone feel like they belong. If you are in a class and the teacher notices you're struggling, they will always help you and make sure to answer any questions you have. The teachers always make time for you and will even stay after or come in early before school to allow you to be as successful as you can be. The lunch ladies work very hard and always make sure you have what's essential for you to eat healthy on your tray.
The BHM school district strives to set its students up for success. The staff cares about its students, and they are always working to make improvements and ensure satisfaction. The school district provides many opportunities and activities for their students to get involved in. Given the choice to attend k-12 anywhere in Minnesota, I would choose to go to Buffalo over and over again. Definitely prepares students for the real-world and future education. It's not often you find a district that constantly works towards improving and takes the feedback of all involved. Overall, it has great academics, staff, and resources for every unique individual.
I can’t say enough how impressed I have been from the moment I filled out the enrollment paperwork. The administration and teaching staff should be proud of themselves for truly putting students first. They are innovative in their organization and on the cutting edge of research showing how kids learn. They have adjusting start times and quarterly schedules to see what will give the best results, not afraid to try new things to benefit our kids. Instead of shoving square pegs into the round holes of an antiquated system they mold themselves to the needs of the students. I have not met a single staff member who wasn’t kind, and everyone is so excited about education which hugely impacts our kids experience. They’ve proved you can make school fun and still get results. Thank you for every bit of sweat, blood and tears you have invested into making these schools what they are.
