BISD Is very mediocre to say the least. In my years going to school under their district (K-12) and now being a college student I can say that the preparation I got for college left me Ill equipped. Although there are good teachers that taught me a lot and extracurricular activities that gave me good life lessons, I still feel in the grand scheme of things students are left unprepared for college life or real life in general. The quality of education varies from teacher to teacher and this inconsistency between them causes a lot of students to lack a good education that they deserved. The schools and facilities themselves are also kind of an issue. While bISD has made efforts to try and renovate the facilities, most of them are still in need of renovation, especially in older schools such as Pace or Hanna.

As of now, I am currently enrolled in this school district, and I enjoy being apart of it. There are man yevent =s and programs that have nothing but benefitted me, and encouraged me to be more involved, but there are a couple of things that can improve our community. To begin with, college is essental, and students must know that, therefore I believe there should be a class specifically handled to prepare students for college. It can help students prepare their essays and apply, or help with any concerns on a daily basis. Also the food must improve. I understand our meals must be healthy, but sometimes the fod is undercooked or burnt to a crisp. Other than this, I believe our school district is great, and I appreciate being apart of it.
BISD got me ready for college and real Life experiences. I loved that I was able to play sports(volleyball) at the same time as being involved in other clubs, such as NHS, Theater and Destination Imagination. My High school experience was wonderful but I cannot wait for my college experience. So excited!
