Gets kids into the most selective colleges (how can 50% of the kids be in the top 10% of the class? Grade inflation!). Parents are focused on college starting in First grade and talk of nothing else at the local country clubs. There are mental health issues as it is hyper competitive as the kids are obsessed with grades, varsity sports, and how they look (must be thin and blond perfect teeth and skin for girls). They boys are cliquey too. With DEI etc the rage at colleges and in hiring, the school is worried, but so far so good on admissions.
I have attended the Bronxville school since 1st grade and will graduate in 2024. This community has provided me with a rigorous education and has challenged me academically. It has also introduced me to many athletic opportunities and has helped shape me into the person I am. There are certainly challenges with diversity and acceptance but it is apparent that this is something the school is looking to improve upon.
Happy with the elementary and middle. The high school has some of the least inspiring and rude educators I’ve ever encountered. A nasty and demoralizing place.
