Schools have unsafe portables with no bathrooms. Straight line winds and tornados are an issue, portable classrooms are here from builders not addressing the schools overcrowding. Schools have too many lunches, must have snacks for your child so they can make it through the day. Busses are overcrowded. Driver safety is a huge issue in Brock from overgrowth. people drive on the wrong side of the narrow back roads, speeding through neighborhood roads, cars flying around parent drivers turning wrong way in school zones. flooding isn’t addressed from precinct, precinct doesn’t have enough funds to keep up with roads, many parents and daycare drivers are on their phone in school zones, sudden stops with no blinker. Looting is popular in Brock from the increase of rich homes. Water shortage has been an issue from the growth, but no solution has been announced. Many Brock parents will bully or just ignore you, explains the student bullies
The faculty truly cares about the students and thier families very community oriented
The district is very good at communicating the events at school, the safety of the students and building traditions from K-12 the admin rocked the unexpected closure due to Covid and since has a plan, communication in place for any unexpected changes. Our students are offered dual credit w the local jr college and staff continues to admin its curriculum w the constant change in society. Tutoring is a huge priority either from teacher to student or student to student. Many staff members are in our town as well as having thier own child as a student within the district.

Brock is a smaller tight knit community and the schools are known for academics and sports. The community has grown so much over the last several years because of its reputation for great schools. I play baseball at Brock and we went to the State tournament last year. The community support was unreal, which is what I think makes Brock so special.
The one thing lacking in Brock is diversity. I think Brock should work with organizations to try and draw in a more diverse population.
