My children briefly went here and it was shocking to say the least. My kids were the only black kids in their grade and were complete outcasts from day 1. We are used to being in minority but this felt off from the beginning. It appears people who can afford it, send their kids here to be around other white people. One woman had the audacity to tell me this system was one of the best because they only allow in those who can pay, they have no “inner city” kids. We immediately pulled our children because that isn’t what a school should be in 2022.
If you’re white im sure it’s great but maybe they should think about how they treat everyone else.
The teachers are the only reason it’s a 2 instead of a 1.

I attended Bremen City Schools my whole life. BCS s a wonderful school system in the West Georgia area for getting a good education. They see themselves as a family as it is located in a small town where everyone knows everyone. This does, however, become a fault. If you are not well-known in this small town, it can be hard to fit in. I will also say that the high school could be more rigorous with their classes; I wish more AP's would have been available for me to choose from before applying for college. I think the best part of BCS is their early education, as I felt I got plenty of attention from teachers and it made it easy for me to come out of my shell and make education a priority. I know this experience is, of course, not the same for everybody.
Bremen GA is a great place to lay down roots and start a family. It is a small town where everyone knows almost everyone. The school system is what draws families in from the surrounding states. Most people who grow up here end up coming back to start a family. The school itself may not look visually appealing but the teaching and curriculum is top notch. We are known for having some of the highest test scores in the state of Georgia. Personally, I have had a great experience here at Bremen High School. It has really shown me who I am and what I want to do with my life. I have met people and friends that I will be close to for the rest of my life. Even though a small town has its disadvantages, it has been a great experience and I will be forever grateful for the experience that Bremen City Schools has provided for me.
