Brea-Olinda Unified School District Reviews
I have enjoyed my time in this school district. There is a distinct focus on personal success and excellence which is presented to students. There are many programs, activities, and resources available for students to enjoy a plethora of hobbies. Teachers are, for the most part, very respectful and kind. Instead of enforcing high test scores and turning students into robots, teachers are understanding and are more concerned with making successful young adults, not test-taking robots. The schools are mostly safe (but that could be improved) and the relationship between faculty and staff members and the general student body is one of mutual respect. People who graduate from this district are usually well-prepared for college and can excel in future endeavours.
My school has a relatively healthy environment. I love all my teachers and friends I met in this small community. Some of my teachers are sarcastically funny, some of them are motherly kind, and some of them are "brutally honest" to their students and strict on their rules. My school also accepts disability students and give them activities and classes to join. I never seen discriminations and bullies in my school. It is a wonderful and peaceful place to study and enjoy.
I like the environment at Brea Olinda, but there are a few things that would be helpful to change. For example the staff is too controlling. I understand that they need to protect us but they shouldn't take away everything that is fun. The teachers are pretty good some are better than others but most care for their students which is nice. The school culture is alright but they could do better to try and get more students involved. The food there isn't that good in my opinion that is one of the bigger things that I hope will change very soon. Overall Brea Olinda is a safe and good academic environment.
