There are pros and cons to the Branford School District. Personally Ive worked with a lot of the administration and I can say close to all of them are great people who really want the school to be a safe place and people to exceed and care about my safety which means a lot to me personally. The school is mostly a good environment but there are more fights than I wish there was. I do think the principal needs to do better listening to the students though, because a lot of students make excellent suggestions and sometimes he seems to disregard them completely. But overall the teachers are very nice and always willing to work with you if you have issues outside of school and I feel comfortable approaching most about things which is really great. There is also a good amount of diversity within the school. Overall my experience was good, I had to do a lot on my own to prepare for college and had some issues but the school was great helping me through them.
The Branford School District is extremely caring towards their students. They are always willing to listen to students and work with them to improve the quality of their education and improve their experiences in school. Where, as in most school districts, there are things that could be better, the district makes sure that programs such as sports, music, and arts are well funded and they provide students with different ways to be involved in the community. This school district is truly passionate about their students' success.
Branford High School had a fairly good education program. The teachers were for the most part doing the best they can to teach the students with their best knowledge and techniques. I graduated in 2018 and attended Branford High School all 4 years. The school always liked to have school spirit and promote positivity out to the students. The school had little to no diversity, that is something I think should be changed. Also, getting seniors ready for college regarding what classes to take and guiding seniors to what they want to major in is very poor.
