Brandywine Heights Area School District Reviews
Life at Brandywine Heights has been pretty good. All of my classes have been beneficial and worked to prepare me for college. My teachers have been very supportive and have also worked to prepare me for college. The extracurricular clubs and sports are awesome and something that really changed my life! The same food options are served every week, but is always very good. Lastly, the facilities are average, and look like most of the neighboring schools.
Brandywine Heights has a great staff that is willing to take part in their students lives and help them get where they want to be in life. Some of what is said is never actually done and there’s a slight bullying problem with some kids. The academics vary from teacher to teacher but, most have a great interaction with students creating a great learning environment!
I feel like this school has some solid attributes. However, the flaws tend to bring them down. High school admins are terrible, they show favoritism, have a horrible communication base with students/parents; are very inconsistent. Teachers, most are decent/few are extraordinary/and many are just not up to par. Middle/IS/ELEM staff all around, teachers/admins seem to be on the same page, and always willing to go above and beyond. Children do not feel safe in this school;not prepared for the real world, on many aspects. Racism and disrespect are strong among the student body. Your teachers who care, give great education. So many kids fall through the gaps;there are very few options for these children once they fall through. The middle school has a great team who works very well with this, but when the kids get to the high school, due to the lack of consistency, favoritism, and general lack of desire this falls to way side for man students.
