Brandon School District Reviews
I graduated from Brandon High School 3 years ago. I was in the band program which was excellent. The principal and superintendent are very friendly, easy to talk to and open to suggestions from both students and parents. There was a police officer dedicated to the school and always a police vehicle parked within plain view so I never really fretted about safety. They have some very amazing teachers at the high school level who are devoted to making their classes succeed. But, as with any school, there are some teachers who just don't seem very excited to be there. Overall, my high school experience was a good one!
The 12+ years one spends in schooling before graduating high school as a senior can be either an enjoyable experience or not so pleasant one. For myself, my experience in the Brandon School District was along the lines of pleasant. From making amazing, life long friendships, having caring, supportive teachers, to being coached by an amazing track and field coach who helped me achieve my dreams in athletics. Out of all the amazing experiences I've had in Brandon, Brandon School District's athletic staff is wonderful. The coaches I've had have believed in me during times I didn't believe in myself. I would have never became an all-state track and field runner if it weren't for the wonderful coaches of Brandon. Although I adore the staff and everyone who has supported me through the years, Brandon School District could use some change. The food for lunches are not healthy, and the bathrooms are not sanitary. But besides these few flaws, Brandon School district is still amazing.
As the president I was often communicateing with our schools administration and although I felt like they listened sometimes, it was often hard to leave a meeting with the feeling like things were being done. That being said I was happy with my education. There were several extraordinary teachers that really stood out, and of course with every school there were other teachers who didn’t compete. Overall I was happy with my education, but looking back there were positives and negatives hence why I rated it average.
