Bowling Green R-I School District Reviews
The Bowling Green school district is not the worst in the area, but also not the best. Being in a rural area there are disadvantages, such as the quality of staff the district hires. The are plenty of great teachers, but the district's choices are limited compared to other schools. The athletic programs are great!
I’d like to see more freedom. The school is very strict. You aren’t allowed to carry around your backpack, you can’t have phones out most of the time, you can’t have earbuds in or around your neck, and you can’t leave campus to eat lunch. It’s classes are also somewhat limited I’d like to see more foreign language classes. I like how we are small but I’d like it to be more diverse. I like most of the clubs that are offered but some of the smaller clubs don’t get much funding whereas the football team and the more popular sports and clubs do. I’d also like to have more opportunities for college visits and career days.
I really liked the friendly atmosphere and the opportunities offered as opposed to other local schools. The only thing I would like to change would be several of the school policies, as well as staff being more welcoming toward their students and their education.
