Bowie High School was a good place to start out my life and open up myself into the world. It was a safe place to learn and most of the teachers were approachable about anything. I felt like I belonged and was accepted there. The major downside of the Bowie school district is the unfairness that which students treat each other. The school is suppose to be a "no tolerance" school, but in my time there I witnessed several instances where classmates would treat each other poorly and the teacher wouldn't act as much as they should have.

I like the size of the school (3A), the sports complex is incredible and a wide range of elective classes are offered. I wish the teachers were more rigorous in what they teach us, but the US history teacher for juniors is phenomenal. I left that classroom prepared for the EOC and passed it with flying colors! The FCS teacher has a god variety of classes and they are all life skills that everyone needs to know before they go,out on their own.
I have had the best experiences at Bowie ISD. Every year I have been here I have been welcomed and accepted by all the teachers and students. Everyone pushes each other to be the best and we never put anyone else down when they succeed. Our sports are a huge part of the school, as well as the importance of good academics. Bowie high school has brought me to meet several of my life long friends and has prepared me for the real world in more ways than I can count. Safety has become to be the number one priority, and I have no fear being at the school.
