Boone County Public Schools Reviews
The Boone County School District is an amazing school district for so many reasons. First, the teachers and staff are amazing as they are offer helpful advice and genuinely want their students to succeed. Second, safety is prioritized above anything else. Proper measures are taken to ensure students are safe at all times and prepared in case anything does happen. Finally, the communication amongst Boone County schools is excellent as staff members reach out to families to communicate information effectively.
Throughout the past four years, Boone County High School has been a great place for me to grow as a student. The diversity of Boone County High have allowed me to connect and become friends with a variety of people. The administration and teachers always ensure safety and a kind heart. With the looming threat of school shootings as of late, the principals and staff have numerous rules to make sure that strangers do not get into the school. This brings comfort to me in an unsettling time. It seems as though my school’s test scores go up every year and they have helped my ACT scores go up. One thing I would like to change is the sports culture. My school has performed poorly in sports since 2012. Before that, Boone was a powerhouse and I hope that it can get back to its winning ways. As a senior basketball player, I look to start that upwards trend. Our seniors came up with the motto “CTC”— change the culture.
My family has been very blessed with such an amazing school system! I do not feel nervous about my children being away from my protection because I have such confidence in their teachers and staff. They've proven themselves to our family repeatedly. Kudos!
