I have recently moved to Texas and am a senior at Boerne-Samuel V. Champion High School. I have had a bit of a hard time adjusting to a new state/school, etc. However, I have to say that the teachers at Champion have really been great in helping me to continue with my educational goals, as well as helping me to get acclimated to a new school. I was encouraged to join several clubs run by the school staff and that has helped me to meet new friends. The teachers make me feel welcome, understand my situation, challenge me in my schoolwork and are just plain friendly!

I could not have asked for a better high school experience! Great environment, great teachers, and great students! EVERY one of my teachers knew my name and cared about me personally. I was never discriminated against. I followed the rules and put in my best effort, and I never had any issue. Dress like a respectable person and use your manners and you'll do great!
The academic atmosphere is very advanced and the teachers are mostly very well versed at teaching, but the are is more conservative. The dress code is on the stricter side and is pretty strongly enforced, for example boys can't have piercings or hair that touches their shirt collar and ladies can't wear shorts that go above their fingertips when their arms are at their side and they can't have any piercings other than ear piercings. The people are pretty kind though.
