Blue Valley Unified School District (Overland Park) Reviews
Review Blue Valley Unified School District (Overland Park)
Blue Valley has been amazing! I have had a great time joining all the different clubs that they offer, and enrolling in challenging AP courses. The different AP courses that we have is great because there are multiple in every subject, so if you excel in one subject, then you can take multiple AP courses. The diversity in the school is terrific and everyone is kind to one another. We set goals for our school and the students and staff work to make that happen. No bullying is one of our main goals, and I have seen this problem be resolved. The staff is very inviting, and you always feel comfortable asking them for additional help, or needing to talk to them about a personal problem. Overall my during the four years I have spent at Blue Valley, I have never considered transferring to another school. This is because I believe that Blue Valley has everything that anyone could want.
The Blue Valley School Districts possesses many strong suits, such as quality education and a helpful surrounding community. The teachers are all well trained and help get you ready for college as best as possible. The facilities are nice and the safety in and out of school is superb. What the school district does lack, however is diversity and athletics. During my time in the Blue Valley School district I have seen very few other minorities, and in fact at Blue Valley Northwest, The school I attended There was less than 4 percent minority. Lastly the schools lacks in athletic competition, while you can play sports, the majority of them have more of a playground attitude than something to better you in life, which is an attitude I believe other districts have.
It's an amazing school district, there are endless opportunities presented to the students, the administration, faculty, and students are very tolerant of all different races, religions, sexuality, etc. and the schools push you to be the best you can be. Such a spirited school!
