The schools certainly care about student success and well-being. My largest concern with my high school experience here are the focus on "traditional" measures of student success, like standardized test scores, as opposed to mental health. My second largest concern is that funding often seems misappropriated; the district spends millions on new facilities and unnecessary sports equipment (like two massive banners for the football team at my school) while arts programs have to fight for basic needs like scripts for the play. However, I would say that this is a very good district academically and in sports and certainly prepares its students overall.

The Blue Valley District is one of the best districts in the country. These schools are public schools that seem like private schools. The education students receive through this district is unlike any other education. The district makes it a priority to have students and staff succeed by providing a large amount of resources. The district is constantly working to improve education, make learning efficient, and include modern technology in all classrooms throughout the district. The Blue Valley District is one of the most highly looked upon districts in Kansas and in the country which is another reason why the district is so great. The same standards are upheld through all of the schools throughout the district, providing an amazing reputation.
Blue Valley is an amazing school district, throughout my 9 years of attending a Blue Valley school this has been proven to me time and time again. The resources and opportunities that comes from this school district are something any parent would want their kid. However, the only thing I noticed ,is that there should be MORE education on diversity, throughout more recent years Johnson County as a whole has become more diverse, Blue Valley should do more to incorporate as much culture as possible for people of all backgrounds to feel more welcomed!
