I enjoyed my experience at Blue Springs High School thoroughly. Unlike most high schools, a lot of freedom was given to us during our lunch, where we had a whole hour to do homework or eat or just hangout if we had nothing else to do. Our sports were always phenomenal to watch and partake in. The teachers at the high school were all very professional and encouraged earning grades and were actually passionate about teaching. I became very close with my counselor and a few teachers and they are all still helping me to this day in college. If I were to have kids soon, I would definitely want to put them through Blue Springs. Go Wildcats!

I liked that Blue Springs schools always had teachers and faculty who really cared about their students and for the most part were able to provide the resources and education necessary to be successful at the next level beyond K-12. I would like to see them move away more from teaching simply to cover material on standardized tests and move more toward teaching all the really relevant and important material to know regardless of any tests. I would also like to see the district as a whole be more open to discussion of issues and problems and unfortunate events that might happen, as well as hire more minority teachers.
Both of my children have attended Blue Springs South High School, and have had great experiences. Whether its academics, athletics or the arts, there are organizations for everyone to be a part of. The faculty has gone above and beyond, providing additional tutoring or testing time for both kids, whenever it was needed. I am a proud of a parochial school and high school, and can not believe the opportunities afforded my kids! I highly recommend their schools.
