Blue Ridge High School is a stereotypical small town school that behaves in an expected way. Students constantly struggle through classes, but they are provided assistance since the population is so small. There is an issue with the small town politics that make it difficult to navigate as a move in. While the school has began to clean itself up, it still has yet to overcome the damage of being a country town. The environment of the school has a constant issue of gossip and clutters of small groups. In order to give the new administration the credit that they deserve, it should be stated that they have tried their best to straighten the school out. They are now offering dual credit courses that would allow for a graduation with an associate's degree. They are also working to aid each and every student in their high school experience. Overall, the school is not the absolute worst and has been building itself piece by piece.
My experience at BRISD has been a good experience. The last 2.5 years have been the best! There has been much needed improvement in our schools as far as curriculum and teachers that are here to teach and want the students to be successful and continue to be successful.
Now clubs and other student organizations are being recognized for their outstanding accomplishments. In the past it was only sports that was being recognized for their accomplishments.
My experience has been good and I hope it continues to improve.

It's a safe environment, the staff is very helpful, energetic, and friendly. The food isn't good but they do what they can with the taxes they get. The principal is the best anyone could ever ask for. The school is always clean!
