Blount county schools need a big improvement. You have to be very self determined to make it through the high school program. Most people only make it through by the skim of their teeth. They need to make tough decisions about their teachers and staff. They need a whole new administration staffing. It needs a big change/improvement.
I have had a wonderful experience with the Blount County School district. My dad and all of his siblings attended a Blount County School. Then their children attended too. The school system is a very close system and they do the best work they can to make everything fair. The Blount County School system is an everybody knows everybody deal. They have all been working together for years making it a great district to be in. The only thing they could use a little more of is the funding for the smaller schools in the district. Money is tight so we get what we need but it'd be great to have the funding for an art or music program. All in all the Blount County School district is a beautiful and well managed district to be in.
