Blackstone-Millville Regional School District Reviews
The Blackstone-Millville Regional School District overall is a great school district. Having attended the district from Pre-K to 8th grade, and Junior to Senior year, I have found it to be a close-knit community. The community is not just the parents and students, however. Teachers and the administration care about the students successes and futures, and give ample opportunities to challenge students to further their learning. The school offers a great variety of courses in a variety of levels - up to Advanced Placement! From Photoshop, to Calculus, to Psychology, to Robotics, and more, there are many options available to all students. And if there is a course a student wants to take that is not offered, online courses can be arranged to accommodate the student. This school district encourages the success of all its students.
I love it here! It changed my life and helped me figure out who I'm meant to be. I made my best friends here and i learned how to love myself. The teachers here are so dedicated to not only your education, but they care about your personal life. I will be forever grateful for my four years at BVT, it's an experience Iwill never forget.
BMRSD is a much smaller district for example my class has 101 students. It offers normal classes quite well but when it comes to A.P courses there is less than 10 available to be taken. Also, the school is good but the Tech school BVT accepts students from this district. As a result many students leave this district and go there thus, the district loses more students. To add these students often times do very well in school which causes this districts MCAS scores are much lower. Also the life skills program for special needs students is very good. To add because it is a small town their is a strong sense of unity and community which makes it a pretty good district.
