Bixby Public Schools Reviews
I have been at bixby for about 3 years now and I rather be back at my old school. The bullying here is outrageous. There are so many people at the highschool who vape yet they don't do much about that. They tell you not to do it again and send you back to class and that's not only disappointing but disgusting they don't take more action. Sure they have a great football team and other sports that are good but that doesn't make the school itself good. I lost 2 friends who went to that school do to the excessive bullying and its completely rediculous. If you had the choice, I wouldn't ever send my kids to this school. Also, Everytime I entered the school, I was greeted by mold that grew on the ceiling. Absolutely disgusting.
Bixby High School was an excellent place for me to receive my education. I moved to Bixby in 8th grade and it was the best move I could have made. They had so many organizations and opportunities to get involved no matter your interests. Their academics challenged the students to get them ready for college like courses and provided concurrent enrollment for students who wanted to get a head start. The faculty and staff were so friendly and connected with students and wanted everyone to succeed. I have so many wonderful memories from Bixby High School that I will remember for the rest of my life.
Bixby is pretty good but it has lots of problems. For instance, the fact that our administration covered up an incident of sexual assault at the superintendent's house. The teachers are mostly pretty good but some of them are bad. The clubs and activities are good but sports are the only ones that get any money or attention or any of that. The school culture is kind of bad because everyone is racist and homophobic, but there are some good people. The district keeps running out of money, but there's not much anyone can do about that. There's no diversity. The only security measure is door codes to get into the high school, but there are easy ways around that. The building itself is pretty much falling apart, but I had some fun times here.
