Love my school with everything I have. Administration and teachers love their jobs and do it to the best of their ability. I am honored to say I have attended BSISD since I was in kindergarten! It’s a great place to be for yourself and for your family.
Big Spring High School brings students together, whether it be through sports, clubs, or extra-curricular. Our principal, Mr. Ritchey, sees potential in every student, so he encourages each student to be the best they can be. Since I have been at BSHS, I have made amazing memories with friends through multiple advanced classes and band. Big Spring Independent School District is only rising on the charts of success.
Big Spring High School is rooted in a country, conservative town and that is difficult for me because I am African American so I don’t have the best high school experience. The football team has went down the drain, we haven’t won a single game which brings the school spirit down. It isn’t all bad though because once you become a senior you get to take basic college classes so you don’t have to worry about them when your actually in college and that helps me feel more secure in my education. Overall, big spring high school needs a lot of improvements but it is the only high school I’ve ever know so, I learned to tolerate it.
