As a current college student, looking back at my time at Bettendorf, it was mostly filled with lots of fun, learning, and great experiences. I was a part of the FTC Robotics team at the high school, the marching and concert bands, varsity soccer for four years and varsity basketball for two. It's super easy to get involved and teachers are excited about those students who put for the effort to be in extracurriculars. I believe Bettendorf got me ready for college as well as it could and I'm appreciative of that. One of the only true downfalls of the high school was the admin. The Athletic Director was an awesome guy who truly looked out for ALL athletes and worked hard to make sure our experience was one to remember. But other than him... the Principal and Vice Principal were not widely liked. Odd people, but if you steer clear, you'll have no problems. All in all an excellent school and a great place to learn!

The Bettendorf Community School district was, and remains to be today, an amazing educational experience. Students at this school know that they have teachers who genuinely care about their education and personal well-being. They push you to strive for success. Stressing the importance of being involved in both your school and your community, Bettendorf pushes students to join extra-curricular activities. Noting that it is both beneficial to your success now and in the future. Bettendorf Community School districts emphasizes "Passion, Purpose, and Pride". Recently introducing a program that sets time aside in the school day for students to receive support from teachers in the work they are doing and to discuss the elements of "P.R.I.D.E.", which are as follows: Poise, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Excellence. Taking note that there are things in which every person, every school, and every community can improve on--Bettendorf is an overall amazing school district.
Shaping the minds who will soon become the leaders of the world, That is the responsibility and duty of all schools. This can prove to be quite a daunting task as there is so much to worry about when running a sucessful school; what is the proper thing to feed our students, what money should go to which activities, and how to best shape the school in order to provide the best experience for the students. Rising above such an arduous task is no simple fea. The first thing I noticed being at bettendorf was the immense amout of support the teaches provide for the students which in turn brings about a willingness, and drive to learn and prosper as a student. This drive to learn is what makes bettendorf really stand out. It is not the amazing football team we have, nor is it the wonderful extra curriculars which make us stand out as a district, it is the spark which lies in teaches eyes that burn with a passion for teaching, and the open minds ready to happily recieve this knowledge.
