Great teachers and staff! Since I’ve started public school in 2nd grade at Miller Heights, the Bethlehem Area School District has always been inclusive and unifying. I’ve had great bonds with almost all of my teachers and I’ve loved my time as a student!
Overall, the district has a main goal of every student achieving greatness. I go to Liberty high school in the district. It is an inner city school with lots of diversity. I know from personal experience, not everyone is as lucky as I am with food, a house, wifi and multiple other things. But what is amazing is how everyone in the district including teachers, administrators and even other students are there to help everyone seek the main goal of being successful. Another good thing about our district is that they don't drill going to college as the best possible option. If a student is interested in going to a trade school or working after school, no one is there stopping them from achieving that. Everyone wants everyone to succeed and be great, which is why I appreciate growing up in the district that I am at and seeing how it all comes together.
I am a current senior at Liberty High School. The teachers are passionate about teaching and caring for their students, as well. I feel involvement is the key to any successful school experience. The staff is very involved and try to build a community among the students. Attending a larger school was a wonderful opportunity- we do not live in a bubble, and it forced me outside of myself to interact with different people. High School is not just about book knowledge and tests. It is about growing up, pushing yourself, discovering your passion and purpose and finding friends along the way. I do feel that they need to work on discipline and structure, as well and encouraging more school spirit.
