I absolutely loved my high school experience at Bethel Park public high school. I had a great relationship with my teachers and the faculty at the school. The new building that was built in 2012 gave the students an amazing opportunities as well. I was always involved in the music and theatre productions and the new facilities we were able to use were beautiful. I also felt very confident in my education there. When applying to colleges I felt ready to apply to some of my, more difficult reach schools thanks to the schooling I received at Bethel Park high school!
Review Bethel Park School District
Bethel Park school district has taught me many valuable skills. One of the most valuable skills I have been taught non-academically, is computer skills. A large benefit of the Bethel Park School District is that is keeps up with the technological advancements of the world around us. Bethel Park School district uses Chromebooks to promote technological academic skills. Bethel Park's Chromebooks also encourage students to collaborate and share ideas more online.
One thing I really liked was the variety of of electives and extra curricular activities. It gave me opportunities to discover myself and try new things. My favorite thing was the stress the districts had on the fine arts. I was a big part of the music department in the district between being the Head Majorette in the marching band, a dance captain in the musicals, in the chorus, and in the symphonic orchestra. Most school districts these days are getting rid of the arts because they believe that they are distracting to students, but from what I've personally noticed is that they actually help me stay focused by breaking up all of my advanced classes and giving me time to relax and enjoy myself in school. One thing tht I think should be improved is the interaction between the teachers and students. I feel like there should be more opportunities given to students to work one on one with their teachers if they are struggling in their classes.
