Bethel Park School District is a very interesting schooling system. On one hand, a great deal of the teachers are very caring and work very hard. On the other hand, many of them do not proficiently do their jobs and blame the students for their own failures as teachers. Moreover, the school's lack of diversity is only highlighted through the clear biases that (some of) the faculty demonstrates.

In preparing for college (as a first-generation college student), I was given no help from the counselors because it was assumed I didn't need it. My SAT and ACT scores and grades were too high for me to even schedule an appointment; luckily, the coordinator of the Gifted Program aided me.

The music department of Bethel Park is actually highly respected, but you would never know that unless you were a part of it. Too much focus has been placed on athletics in the school, which I say as someone who participated in athletes throughout my years there and now competes at the collegiate level.

Overall I would consider my experience at Bethel Park High School to be pretty average. I think that the administration was unorganized and the building, although new, wasn't in great shape. The teachers, like anywhere, were a mix between good and bad. I did have some pretty great teachers though. However, I think the thing that makes Bethel Park stand out was the music program. It was excellent and award winning. It was definitely the pride of the district.
I was a student at Bethel park from 1st grade until 12th grade. Overall, the school district was exceptional. The district had a well rounded curriculum with many different activities inside and outside the classroom to be involved in. There was many different options to take as electives. Some options are ceramics, CAD, photoshop, science and art, music, and home economics.
