I like the sports and my overall academic experience although I’d like more of a diverse change in Berkshire a long with more assistance for college readiness.
The small community surrounding the school allows for positive interpersonal relationships between students and staff.
Many of the students feel as if Berkshire is an American stereotype of a middle of the country school and it's pretty true.
My experiences at Berkshire Local School District is from the time going from Kindergarten to being a Junior in high school time has been interesting. I made many friends while in school but very few stuck with me through the past many years of acedemics. During the beginning of my fourth grade year I was diagnosed with a inflammatory bowel disease with the name of Ulcerative Colitis. I struggled with my acedemics after being in the hospital for such a long period of time. My family was struggling as well, my mother had asked the school for help with tutoring. Due to the Berkshire Local School District they made it possible for me to learn one on one with my teacher by her coming to my home when me still in conditions not being the strongest and helping me learn in every way possible. My school has given me the support I need with my disease and my acedemics.
I personally loved the staff at Berkshire High School. My teachers always encouraged me to do my best in school and reminded me that I can accomplish whatever I put my mind to. I was an athlete all fours years throughout my high school career, and grew to love and immediately respect each of my coaches. They take the time to get to know each member of their team and help them reach their full potential as athletes. The facilities are not the best but Berkshire is in the process of building a new, beautiful school. New school or not, what stands out is how much the staff wants each student to succeed in the future.
Small class sizes, excellent communication between teachers and students, close relationships between administration and community. Could use some updates, but a new school is currently being built. Positive athletic environment, but could use more encouragement for students to be a part of the arts.
Honestly way to many problems. The teachers are not very understanding of the needs of kids. They think it's their way of teaching or none at all. I know many students that have complained about many teachers because they ask for help yet they get none and told to study which they are!! Not to mention the lack of safety with the recent snow. It is insane you didnt call a snow day. There was a reported death! The amount of drugs and vaping is also high. There are the select few staff that are very nice, but it is outweighed by the dimwits. If more kids fail then pass doesn't that tell you something?
teachers are bad easy for your kids to get in trouble with them they rarely do nothing for bullying and lots of juuling in the bathrooms and overall a bad school cardinal is honestly better
Berkshire school district is a mighty yet small district. Even though most schools beat us in numbers, Berkshire always manages to come out on top in academics and throughout most of our sports. We know that with strength and readiness we will be able to prevail with anything that comes into our path. Whether it be college, real life problems, or personal struggles, Berkshire does everything in its power to ready its students for the real world.
I liked that this district was close to me and the classes offered were insightful. However, there was very little diversity, not only in the student body, but also the staff.
My grandbabies are taken care of very well! Their in school studies as well as field trips leave me extremely satisfied with Berkshire. The size of the schools as well as the community is perfect.
They're really trying to give kids a great start. They've been very proactive about not giving too much homework. And letting the children be children. I think that's extremely important for proper development.
Amazing school district with amazing staff. Both of our children are doing well. Class sizes are small enough to allow students to receive individual attention. This school focuses on Project Based Learning, which has been wonderful for the kids. They get to experience a hands on learning technique that seems to have really made an impact on them.
It's pretty okay, to be honest. I mean, it was stressful, but most schools are. I would have liked it better if anyone there had the slightest amount of chill.
The teachers are very personable and care about the students education. The building is very old, but within the next few years they are building a new state of the art facility.
I recently graduated from Berkshire High School. I loved the school and I felt like I learned a lot throughout my 4 years there. Also, now that the school is under new administration, there are a lot go great changes happening.
The curriculum is very well, and it get students prepared for college. I would recommend more detected, enthusiastic teachers.
