Berkley School District Reviews
Berkley School District provides all students with a fantastic education! Students have the opportunity to participate in a multitude of sports, organizations, events, and other extra curriculars. From Gardening Club to Book Break, students can easily surround themselves with support from their classmates! In addition, counselors and teachers provide guidance to the students in order to help them reach their academic endeavors!
What I liked about Berkley school district is that he community is so diverse and most of the people within in it are really great people to meet! They do need improvement on the food in the lunch line and also they need improvement on how some of the staff treats people. I would hear stories about the times. Where hall monitors or even teachers would treat people in my grade and it was not too pleasent to hear. Overall, Berkley High is a great school inside and out!
I've spent a long 4 years at Berkley High. I think there are some admirable things but there are also some things that lack. I think the academics here are great, but only for the honors/AP kids. The kids in regular classes are in my opinion tossed aside and are considered "not as good". The diversity front is extremely complicated. We appear very diverse, but there are incidents that make me second guess this. Racist and ableist slurs have been very prominent this year and our administration including teachers does very little to handle this. On the topic of college readiness, I do not think we get enough advice and preparation whatsoever. I still do not understand fincanical aid.I have pretty much been figuring out everything on my own with the help of google and fellow struggling students. Overall, I would rate Berkley High 3/5 stars because of the amount of diversity we do possess and the teachers, but problems remain regarding college, administration, and dealing with issues.
