This is a good school system for the most part. We have an excellent high school English teacher and also a math teacher who have prepared me for college courses.
I would like to see more college courses offered for high school students. Also more technical courses could be offered for those students who may not be planning on attending a traditional college. I know that sports are very important in our school system, and I know they try to acknowledge academic awards as well but maybe academics could someday be just as important sports awards. Not everyone fits into the sports category and it would be nice for everyone to be praised the same.

Bells Independent School District is a great place to enroll your kids. They have amazing academics and teachers. As well as athletics with back to back state champion softball team, basketball and volleyball trophies lining the trophy cases. This is a school I will enthusiastically send my children to one day.
As a long time student at Bells High School, I've watched it grow from the time I was a Kindergarten student to a senior in high school. Bells ISD is open to creating new opportunities for their students. For example, my freshman year, there was one AP course offered (AP Calculus). Now, in my senior year, Bells ISD is offering around an additional 5 AP courses, with plans to increase the number in the future. The classes are small, and make learning fun because you can get individualized help when you need it, and the teachers know who you are--you're not just a number here. The school administration is also pushing students to better themselves and are providing resources, such as ACT waivers to ensure that all of our students can take the ACT, an increase in funding towards more technology and academia oriented courses (such as Robotics), and offering dual credit classes to sophomores score exceptionally well on the PSAT, setting them on a fast track to complete an AA.
