Bellefonte Area School District Reviews
Administration does not listen to the parents or consider what they have to say. Don't bother with suggestions, they don't have time for it. If your child is being harassed they will do nothing about it even considering their "no tolerance" policy. Some teachers are excellent, while others are just collecting a pay check and it really shows. disappointed!
As someone who has been to several schools over the years, I was pleasantly surprised by Bellefonte's academics and dedication to its student body. My initial experience with one of Bellefonte's guidance counselors set a positive tone for my high school career. There was a willingness to help like I hadn't experienced at other schools. The education I receive at Bellefonte was understandable yet robust, and I didn't have the fear of falling behind like I did at other schools I attended. Bellefonte has a wide range of classes for a wide range of interests and difficulties. I feel proud of the education I receive there, and have grown into a more comfortable person while attending Bellefonte High School.
Bellefonte gave me a multitude of opportunities to succeed no matter what I chose to do. Between academics, sports and music I was able to participate in all to learn and grow. The balance was a challenge at times but the support systems brought me an ease through it all. I was able to reach my goals throughout my high school career by taking 10 AP classes, reach the highest level of sports participation in swimming and attend multiple festivals for music. Without the support of my teacher and coaches and administration in the school district this would not have happened. The parent groups brought extra to the district with their dedication to making our experiences enjoyable and full.
