I have attended Bedford City School District my entire life. Overall, it is a good school district but there are some things that need to be changed. From about kindergarten to about ninth grade, most of the teaching staff along with the principals and guidance counselors were extremely engaged in the well being of the students along with how they were doing in school and I believed that that began to change mid way through ninth grade. At the highschool, there are roughly 600 students with only four guidance counselors so they weren't always be able to be of assistance to us causing some children to fall of the bandwagon. I think that although they are trying to prepare us for the "college" experience, it could have been more help from the teachers as well. I also think that the master schedule made it hard for children to take some of the classes that they wanted to because of the overlapping with other classes and sometimes the overpopulation in that class.

I've had a great experience with Bedford City Schools. I've been in this school district since Kindergarten. All of my teachers were nice and cool. They really cared about their students. They taught me a lot of things in life. I like how the teachers didn't judge you by your skin color, they treated everyone the same. You will have some teachers that will treat others different from you. But overall that is apart of life, so you just have to go with it. The principals that I have had we're amazing, they really handle things well. Things that they can change is the overall grade.
I am currently a senior attending Bedford High School and I have come through the district since grades K-12. I believe that the district is not perfect but definitely have done things in an effective manner. Compared to other schools in the area Bedford has one of the most diverse student populations out there. On top of that their athletic program is caring and meets the athlete's needs as well as making sure that teams are prepared for their tough seasons ahead. The most important part of the district being its academic department has also thrived making sure teachers are on the top of their game to provide a student with adequate educational experiences. The teachers care about the student's education not only in high school but beyond that as well which sets the student up for success in the long run.
