I enjoyed the teachers, the teachers are very supportive in the Pre AP and AP answering any questions I have had and providing just a great experience overall in the classroom. The problems I have had have been experiencing suspicious activity in the bathroom before Corona and when something gets broken such as bathrooms or waterfalls, it very rarely gets fixed in a timely fashion. There is also not much culture and not enough student involvement in the school which my friends and I have tried to change a bit being on student council. As far as safety the past couple years it has been hard to feel safe because there are a lot of fights and the crime rate in Beaumont is high, I enjoyed having the metal detectors for a bit as that just gave a little bit of ease. Being a cross country runner I go to practice in the morning and do not have anywhere in the field house to put my practice shoes and clothes. Overall, I have enjoyed my experience. There are just a few things to be worked out.
I like the environment of the schools. I would like to see more resources available for the schools and more funding for the arts programs.
The district is more concerned about attendance than the health of the students. There are also many unqualified teachers teaching subjects that they should not be.
I have been enrolled in Beaumont Independent School District since Kindergarten and to be honest its like many other districts. However, other districts have more opportunities to better facilities, education tools, and college readiness.
Overall I like how we have teachers who truly care and have been with me the whole way through. I still have teachers from middle school and highschool that I’m really close with and made me the person I am today. I don’t think I could’ve made it without them and they brought out the best of their students. Though I wish some of the other teachers could be patient and understanding of the students as well. In my opinion, if we had more teachers with more compassion, we would have more successful students. Overall, I enjoyed my school experience
They made sure that we had everything we needed to succeed! I love it here and many others do to. When i look back want to be thankful i participated in this school district!
The teachers and staff member were really helpful in many ways . When you need help with something they are always there to help . As a former student I can say some things were hard and some thing were easy ,but all the staff members were were there for all of the students
I like the fact that they do have teachers that actually cares about you & your future , on the other hand bisd need allot of work to work on they need to become more organized.
The Beaumont ISD is a very money hungry district. Administration often places the district’s financial need over the safety of students. They implement a “one size fits all” type of governing. Our two main high school campuses are very different and should not be ruled based off of what’s in black in white. It should be ruled based on student needs. Westbrook had policies that were perfectly fine, however once a new high school was created Westbrook was forced to fix things that weren’t broken.
My rating on the beaumont independent school district overall isn’t negative but there are some negative and positive factors of going to school in this district. First, I don’t feel that I am properly being prepared for college, staff don’t inform sophomores about school opportunities and they don’t encourage us to start looking for schools. Secondly, I feel that the teachers are not qualified enough to be teaching us. On certain days teachers may or may not just sit down and not teach or might not even give any effort into education the kids but that’s not entirely there because kids in the Beaumont independent school district have a lot of behavioral problems and sometimes the staff don’t take much action into handeling situations like that.
Beaumont Independent School District has given me so many opportunities, especially with being apart of Beaumont Early College High School. I am earning an associates degree alongside my high school degree, for free, which is super beneficial for my low-income family.
Education is terrible. Teachers care more about their sad check and would rather spend the day catching zzz's. Lunch food is terrible and is often under or overcooked, no in-between.We see more fights then actual lessons. The rich kids get better resources and an actual education while the "poor" are left to teach themselves.
What I like about Beaumont Independent School District , was that they never just bypass a person or situation . They maintain their policies and regulations on the safety of all the students in there schools K-12 . They make sure that if a student isn’t doing right or not on the right path , they’ll give support and assistance. What they can work on is the meals that they request for us .
I like the teachers in this district but I would like to see change in athletics. All they worry about is football, they should show more attention to all the other sports and organizations as well. Also the food could be a little better. Sometimes I'll get food that isn't cooked all the way.
Beaumont Independent School District helped me with my education and working with others. This district and its schools work hard at getting children the education they need. I personally am a product of this phenomenal program.
Some of the rules are unnecessary like no blankets and the food could be better. Some classes might not challenge the students enough. Other than that the school is okay .
BISD isn't the best district out here and could use improvement in multiple areas. The schools are old and the new ones keep being combined.
