Bayport-Blue Point Union Free School District Reviews
I have children attending elementary school and middle school in this district. They have gone above and beyond to help accommodate my special needs child and have provided a challenge to my gifted child. I have found the vast majority of educators and administrators to be helpful, knowledgeable and responsive to the communities needs. I don’t think a school should lose a star for lack of diversity. The neighborhood is mostly white of European descent, and the schools student body is indicative of that. Not a negative or a positive. It is just an accurate reflection of the community.
Bayport Blue Point is a great school district, most of the teachers are very helpful and kind, and they do everything they can to prepare you for tests and exams, and they really do want to see you succeed. There is one major downside for BBP. The major lack of diversity. Mostly everyone is white. Very few aren’t. It’s a great school district if your an upper middle class/wealthy white family who spoils their children and buys them designer clothes/bags/etc. But other than that, it’s pretty good and provides a great and solid education. The administration are all very nice people who really want to get to know each and every student.
Bayport-Blue Point Union Free District is top-notch when it comes to educators and preparing students for college. It has won countless awards that prove that it is one of the best on Long Island. Due to it being a small district, there are some programs that aren't offered that I would like to see. Two such programs are American Sign Language as a second language as well as a school dance team. I would also like to see more exposure and more education about other cultures and ethnic groups to prepare us for our future.
