Bay Village is a wonderful school district in regards to academics and resources available to it's students. The school is very focused on academics, almost to an insane degree of perfection. While I enjoy academics and pushing myself I think that my school's obsession over perfection whether it be with SAT scores, GPA, or which college you're attending, can be extremely overwhelming at times. However, most teachers and counselors are wonderful and always wanting to help if a student is struggling. In addition , the parents and community are always very involved in the school which gives the school district a sense of community. For example, our community and school district raised over $10,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This coupled with the small community of students at the various schools add to the atmosphere of community. Overall, I believe that Bay VIllage City School District is a wonderful place to learn and attend.
Overall, Bay Village City School District gives students amazing academic, athletic, and outside of school opportunities. They offer all students the chance to further their education through taking Honors, AP, and CCP classes. The sports are very inclusive, but still provide a competitive atmosphere for athletes to grow. The students within Bay Village school district also work together to give back to the community and raise money for various non-profit and charity groups.
I’m a student at Bay High and I think it’s definitely one of the top public schools in Ohio. Academics are a really high priority here for pretty much everyone, plus most students are involved in sports. It’s really safe and there aren’t many issues with drugs and alcohol. The only potential drawback is probably the diversity because while the curriculum is open-minded and progressive, the vast majority of students are white and upper-middle class. Overall, this is one of the best school systems in Ohio!
