As a sophomore who had just moved to Battle Ground from Mexico and knew little English, I was scared to come into an environment that was foreign to me. Thankfully, teachers were welcoming, caring and willing to help. In BGSD, all students are highly encouraged to join clubs and school organizations. Staff, parents and students work together to be involved in their school. Yes, the school district can definitely improve in academics and upgrade school facilities, but for what it's worth, my 3 years in the district have been filled with positive experiences, opportunities and learning.

For all 12 years of my education, I have had the opportunity to attend the Battle Ground School District. Looking back on my elementary school years, along with middle school, I will not hesitate to say it's been a pleasure to attend this school district. I've succeeded in math, sciences, and English. Staff and students have encouraged me on my path towards graduation. My counselors and principles stepped up to help when my grades were suffering. In the end, there's no doubt that I would never choose another school district. Safety and success are a guarantee for all students involved.
I liked the school district. I grew up in battle ground and went to school in the district from kindergarden all the way until I gradguated high school. The district gets involved in a lot of activities and the activities get the parents or the student involved. The district has multiple gardens at different schools, tons of activities to get the children involved. Also the district helps a lot with the community. A lot of the teachers work one on one with students and make sure that each and every student feels welcome and understands what is being taught in school along with having a family outside of a personal family.
