Batesville School District Reviews
I very much like the overall safety of going to school at Batesville School District. When it comes to lock-down/ school shooter drills, the school ensures that students know the plan(s) for if something were to happen. The school has a great amount of clubs and after school activities for students to choose from as well. However, a few things I do not like about Batesville school district are the food and the bathroom facilities. The food at the high school is very tasteless, as well as quite unhealthy. The bathrooms always seem to be dirty as well. Another thing I dislike about the high school is the availability of the counselors and career coach. Two counselors and one career coach is just not enough to serve the 1,000+ kids in our building. When I need to speak with a counselor about something, it always seems as though they are too busy for me. However, even including this problem, I would have to say that Batesville, as a whole, is a very good and reputable school choice.
Batesville is a really good school district. Teachers truly care about the students and want to see us succeed. We recently got a new superintendent who has worked hard to make us a destination district. He had already helped us all her chrome books so we can go paperless. He is also planning on building a new performing arts center for our drama, choir, and band kids. All the teachers want to help us do the best we can so we can get into good colleges. It’s the best school. Also, teachers are now able to have concealed carry at our school to keep us even safer.
I like the athletic programs that are within this school and they are very successful. However, that is an extracurricular activity. Academics should be first. Our academic average compared to other schools is very low.
