Overall, there is a wide variety of students within the diverse student body: there are the artsy kids, the athletes, the nerds, and "hodge podge" students too. However, the kids are the ones who make Batavia so unique! I feel that everyone fits in at Batavia, and our acadamics are phenomenal! The academics tend to be overall easy, however this may be due to the fact that plenty of the students seek a challenging and rigorous academic experience, and are always wanting a further representation of this in their claswork. The only flaw I find within the Batavia school districts is how falsely diversity is embraced. What I mean by this is that there is almost a visage of diversity, and people act as if they support certain social groups (i.e. LGBT, religions, etc.) when in reality, they most-likely make friends with only those who fall under their social standards. Besides this, Batavia is a very prestigious schooling system.

I have really enjoyed my time at Batavia High School. The feeling at social events, like sports games and school dances, is electric. There are all types of people that go to Batavia High School. There are courses for all levels, whether it is AP, honors, or normal classes. The school is a great size, I can't imagine myself going to a high school of another size. Most everything about the school is good, although there are some problems (as expected). The worst problem is that there are cockroaches sometimes and the school doesn't seem to do enough to actually combat the infestations. They put bug traps around the school but I have always wondered why there is not a terminator that is hired to get rid of the bugs.
As a senior, I personally have a certain pride towards my school. Batavia High School has a very different atmosphere from most high schools or stereotypes of high schools. The people here are very respectful and relaxed, which is not what some high schools are like. I am very grateful for my teachers, and how they've helped me throughout my time here. Batavia's athletics are very good-the coaches are very good, and our athletes are amazing. I love attending my schools football games especially, but no matter what sport it is, I enjoy cheering on my classmates and my school to victory! I will miss Batavia High. The teachers that I have had, the experiences I have been through, will stay with me forever.
