Batavia Public School District 101 Reviews
The family atmosphere of the Batavia bulldog community speaks volume. This town prioritizes the education and welfare of its children. Being a bulldog is empowering and demonstrates the strength that each student portrays in this community. It’s teaches acknowledge the capability of each student and accommodate to lead them to success. The high school values equality and the importance of being kind to one another. I overall find happiness in this district and have pride in being a batavia bulldog!
I think Batavia is a pretty good school overall. We live in a fairly well-founded area, so there obviously aren't any problems with safety or with fixing issues when they arise. My main problems with the school are that 1) batavia doesn't seem to have many meaningful programs for achievements, no science fair, no route to internship with nearby institutions (even though fermilab is right near us) they just seem to lack in those programs. My other issue doesn't really have much to do with the school, but it's not very diverse. Despite this, there are kids who say the n-word, who are racist to asian people, and I see this as a huge issue. I have reported it when I've seen it, and to my knowledge they took care of it, but still.
My experience at Batavia High School has been very good. The experience as a student there is pretty good, with school sports and events being a very large part of the experience. The school offers enough clubs and extra curricular so that everybody can find one they love. Almost all of my teacher, I felt, have truly looked for the best in me and pushed me to grow further. You really feel like the teachers care about your success. However, the school isn't very diverse. Also, some of the events it has, such as homecoming, are very under whelming.
