Batavia Local School District Reviews
As a lifetime female athlete, many opportunities are not given to me. My school district helped me tremendously education wise, but sport wise they gave unfair advantages to male sports that girls weren't able to have. More funding, resources, and time slot priority were given to male sports, while the female sports continued to diminish because of the programs ignorance. However my school finally decided to make a change after I graduated, they will be replacing the athletic director, the girls softball coach, and sports fields are being improved.
Freshman year I did experience some bullying, however as the years went on it stopped completely and am ending senior year with lots cool friends. The teachers are all supper funny and cool but the principles and guidance counselors are not so great. The principles focus way to much energy on things that are not important and are minor issues in our school while they avoid and ignore the bigger problems that need fixed, they are doing a lot better about it this year but overall not so great school management
Batavia is a very small town and thus has the small-town school vibe. You grow up living next to most of your classmates, playing sports growing up together and spend most of your time together. It makes for a unique and unforgettable experience into adulthood!
