Barton high school was the perfect school for me . I have been going to barton since kindergarten, it’s really all I know . Barton compared to other schools around has higher academic levels. Barton is a calm , nice flowing school. I would like to see more clubs & sports.
I loved that no one really stood for bullying, here the students stood up for each other and we knew how to work with one another. Overall, student life was great and I would not have traded it one bit, like every other school we had our hiccups, but it's better than most. The academics were more challenging than those at my last school, but I don't feel like they challenged me to my full potential. I only wish they had added the more vibrant courses before my senior year so that I could have taken them before. The current super intendant is far better than the last man we had, he caused many improvements to take place and kept his end of the bargain on the promises he'd made to us and the teachers at the beginning of the school year. The only problem, many of us had were with the older staff members because they could not handle our rowdy spirits and the inconsistently of teachers we liked do to the TFA contracts in place there.
