Review Barrington Community Unit School District No. 220
Barrington high school gave me a ton of opportunities that I would not have had if I had gone to a different high school. Some teachers more than other but overall they seemed to care. I feel that the diversity is really lacking. Most of the students and staff are the same race, the people that aren't of that majority have been picked on from time to time in my experience. I think that this could be improved upon a little bit, it seems like there are too many people that aren't willing to move on from the past. This recent election has really stirred up some hard feelings between certain students and most people don't do anything to prevent this from happening. The bathrooms at Barrington are terrible and really need to go through a renovation. I believe that if there were a few changes to the school more people would like it much more than they might already. Overall I loved going to Barrington and am really thankful for all I have learned.
Overall, the teachers, councilors, and PTO are wonderful. When you need help, the school is there for you pretty much every step of the way to try and make the high school years your best. However, like every school, it isn't perfect, there are always a couple bad apples but that doesn't mean you stuck with that teacher forever. For the most part, the teachers are excellent and try to teach you the subject to the best of their ability. If you have any trouble, you can always contact your counselor for help to work something out or get a new teacher.
