Located in a small and traditional town, the education system lacks the ability to teach diversity, cultural exploration, or real world experience. Though parent and student participation was sufficient with regards to sporting and musical activities, many student are left unprepared for higher university education and in turn are set back when entering the working class society.

I was a student at Bangor from 5th grade through senior year of high school and my experience was mostly positive. I made great connections throughout my years in all of the schools, and was fortunate to have mostly fond memories to look back on as an alum. As far as college preparedness, I believe my science classes provided me with a strong foundation and contributed greatly to my success in completing a very science heavy degree - Health Studies with a minor in biology.
Overall the Bangor school district is not kept well. The middle school is by far the worst. The ceilings are failing, mice are running around, and there’s a ton of mold. They’re worried most about a new football coach when the teacher don’t have contracts. The only good thing about this district is the music department and the sports sometimes.
