Avondale School has distinct experiences and opportunities is EVERYTHING FOR ME. Our student’s diverse backgrounds, based on parent expectations, involvement, relationships, influences their suggestions. For example, when we are organizing a dance throughout our school’s program, we need all students, regardless of whether they are African-American, Hispanic, Asian or Native American to share their ideas so we can be sure to include diverse songs. My active involvement in the National Honor Society has also given me the ability to understand the importance of championing every kid. As president of our NHS chapter, I have had the distinct honor of working with a diverse group of students and appreciate different perspectives. We are a group that represents many cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. We express anyone can lead. I WOULDN'T have chosen to go anywhere else, as I am graduating from the district in a few months and will never forget my amazing experiences in Avondale!

I'm 2017 grad. Thru that time, I cannot say enough good about AHS. Leadership 4 years, lots of events that I helped plan for 4 years! It created my future, now pursuing Recreation & Event Management at Central Michigan Univ with minor in Hospitality and Leadership! I will be able to say Avondale School District was instrumental in helping me change the world one day! Diversity was huge and I wouldn't have traded that for anything!
The school has changed a lot since I first started there. It use to be a great school but now is slowly getting worse. This is because the administration there is not good. Both my parents and grandparents went there and they loved it and also my brother and cousin. I had a great experience in elementary school and even middle school, but when I came to high school it started to go down hill. They changed administrators every year I was there expect my senior year. Which was bad because the administration was awful. We had to have a sit in during school just so that our voices and opinion could be heard.
