I went to Avon when I was in the middle of my middle school years and graduated from Avon High School. The schools itself were great! Definitely had so many opportunities to build connections with awesome teachers and friends. However, a downside to Avon is how big it is. Some kids, such as myself, love the one-to-one connection with people and sometimes it is hard to do that with a huge school district.
Review Avon Community School Corporation
I have attended schools in the Avon Community School Corporation since 2nd grade, and I have had a positive experience. There are so many different clubs and extra curricular activities available that every student can find some outlet suitable for them. The diversity in the schools is great and has allowed me to make friends with many different types of people. The AP and dual credit courses that are available to students in high school allows students to be challenged by rigorous course content and simultaneously prepared for the level and amount of course work in college. The different events that the schools are involved in allow for maximum community involvement and participation in a wide variety of activities.
I've been apart of Avon community school corporation since kindergarten. While attending school here for 12 years I have always been positively influenced by my teachers to do better and be my best. Also creating many friends and having a well balanced social experience. As Avon continues to grow I hope it will become more flexible in it's non-traditional sport representation. That's the only thing I believe they can work on. Many "club" sports like; rugby, men's volleyball, lacrosse, etc... have received minimal to know representation from the high school making it hard for these sports to grow. I'd like to see Avon take a step to help sponsor these sports.
