Aurora East Unified School District No. 131 Reviews
this district is diverse and has a big hispanic community. The school didn't have a lot of sports available to students. The teachers do try their best to help students. The school facility just a a big addition/remodeled and it is very nice! The school facilities is lacking, there is a pool but it is not in use. The school showers are not available for student use and is not safe. Students are not allowed to leave the school for lunch. It is a very strict school.
The overall environment at the district was normal, like any other high school. Our school district does need to work on being more involved with their students education though. We come from a community that is seen as "ghetto" our administration should not be having this mindset about it's students, their goal should be to provide the best education possible for students that are struggling and not forget about them and remain only interested in the students that show academic excellence. Everyone in the district counts. Everyone's education is important.
Throughout my years in District 131 schools, nothing spectacular nor atrocious happened to me or my friends. Some unpleasant aspects in these schools include poor food quality and violence that is present. Despite that, generally, the teachers and staff do their job well, many clubs are present, and the majority of the students are welcoming. Overall, this district can be best rated as average.
