Great teachers and staff! I have loved my time at Athens High. The only thing I would hope for future students are more Advance Placement courses. Athens did try to prepare me for college, however I could have used earlier and more AP courses to take.
It has been a great experience throughout my son's years in the city school system. We moved to the area a year before he started kindergarten so he would have the opportunities that the school offers. It has been a decision that we are glad we made. Both of our boys have thrived in their environments and have grown into fine young men with all of the different avenues they have had to choose from that the school system offers. Countless clubs, sports and organizations for their choosing. They were able to try many different things until they found their niche and could blossom.
I have grown up in Athens my whole life, and I loved all my years there. Even though there was a tuff transnational period Athens City Schools did their best to make sure that it could run as smoothly as possible. My time spent at Athens High School taught me about my field of study each year, through our medical Academy. I saw how close are community is and how hard they work for the success of their students. Athens City Schools also have individualized elementary schools ranging from a STEM school to a Fame and arts school, and if school Is not for you then they also offer online school for k-12.
