Ascension Parish Public Schools Reviews
At Ascension Parish Public Schools, I rather appreciate the well rounded academic scores and the teachers that are hired to make learning easier and more efficient. However, while the academics, test scores, and STEM programs are proven to be advanced, the diversity at the Public Schools needs to expand and become more accepted. Students are constantly being hassled/bullied for their sexuality, race, preference of gender, etc.
The Ascension Parish School System is very academically advanced and the teachers are wonderful. I would like to see more music and arts programs, and the food is mediocre at best. There is also an Early College Options program, where students go to River Parish Community College and graduate high school with an associate's degree in Humanities.
What I like about Ascension Parish public Public Schools is the wide variety of opportunities and experiences provided to me through my classes and extra-curricular activities. The only thing I dislike is lack of balance between the arts, academics, and athletics.
