Arvin Union Elementary School District Reviews

1 review
My kids attend Sierra Vista Elementary which is part of the Arvin Union Elementary School District. I feel my kids are NOT getting a proper education. Since our community is predominantly Hispanic, the schools have become geared more towards helping the Hispanic students. The Caucasian, African-American, and other ethnicitytudents are just pushed aside. There is no balance to the curriculum. This is happening in every school from the elementary schools to the high school and even the colleges. Teachers split their time between the English only kids and the ESL kids. The attention our kids use to get is now down to 50%. 98% of scholarships (including sports) state that they are for students with Hispanic backgrounds. I have not seen one that states it is for students who are Caucasian, African-American or any other ethnicity.
