Arcadia Unified School District Reviews
I was very privileged to attend a school where students are known to push their academic limits and achieve successful academic careers. As a student golfer who took challenging courses every year while playing on the varsity golf team all four years of high school, I had a lot of support from teachers, after school tutors provided by the school, staff members, and parents. Whenever I had a question, I did not hesitate to ask as the resources that Arcadia Unified School District provides is extremely abundant, open, and beneficial. I will be attending Claremont McKenna College this fall where I will continue to be a student athlete on the men's golf team, and I feel well prepared with the foundation I have from being a student of Arcadia Unified School District.
I have been in Arcadia schools since Kindergarten. In Arcadia, I felt generally safe and understood by the students, teachers, and other adults. There are many opportunities, academic and nonacademic in Arcadia Unified schools. Though Arcadia is most known for its academics, I believe our schools have great art, sports, and extracurricular programs. At Arcadia schools, everyone will find something to their liking whether it be a club or particular class. Also, although Arcadia may be competitive, it has a very great education program. Arcadia leaves many students feeling ready, confident, and excited for college and what is yet to come. As a senior, I can proudly say that I am in AUSD!
I have been in the Arcadia Unified School District for the past 3 years. I had transferred from Pasadena Unified School District. First, coming to the school was a bit intimidating but my counselors had made my transition so much easier. My counselor had gotten me into classes I needed at the time and suggested for me to take higher-level classes to look nice on my college applications. Transferring in the middle of my sophomore year was hard but my teacher had made the process a bit easier for me. Many of my teachers had offered me to sit in their classroom during lunchtime, the majority of the teachers knew that I would not have many friends just now getting to the school. I had played sports in the Pasadena Unified School District but there was something different about Arcadia Unified School District. We always had nice gear on and off the court and my coaches were amazing. Anyone considering their child to go to a school in AUSD I would truly recommend it.
